Description
Touch-sensitive control replaces the switch entirely. A tap anywhere on the metal body cycles brightness, so there is no cord-mounted rocker to hunt for in the dark and no moving part to wear out.
The integrated 5W LED puts out 500 lumens at 2700K, which is bright enough to read by but warm enough not to flatten the room. Because the diode is built in, there is no bulb to replace and no socket to loosen.
Iron gives the base its weight and the glass shade diffuses output evenly rather than throwing a hard edge. Assembly is a single step, screwing on the shade, and the 62 inch cord reaches most outlets without an extension.
